UPDATE! Florsani is an ecuadorian company commited on cultivating the lifes of everyone and by doing so, we learn about the importance of sustainability. Why is it important? For a very simple, very straightforward reason: we cannot maintain our quality of life as human beings, the diversity of life on Earth, or Earth’s ecosystems unless we embrace it. There are indications from all quarters and from the smallest to the largest scale that sustainability is something we must address.
This is a philosophy which is built on a solid foundation of sustainability and it can be defined by three core elements, each of which must be carefully considered in relation to the others:
• Environmental Protection
• Social Development
• Economic Development
A year ago we proudly began our Social Development project which seeks to create an economic and environmental impact. We created an orchid for the elderly people of the CeCuida Center, from the community of Malchingui and although we had already helped them have a safer and more cheerful environment, the orchid was a way of bringing health, happiness and more income to their lives.
Today we share pictures of the harvest because we are excited to see how growing food not only impacts a person’s ability to take control of their food security. It has a myriad of other benefits, including instilling a connection to nature, responsibility, patience, relaxation and problem solving. Whether a few pots on your windowsill or a whole veggie patch in the garden, the process of growing food will improve your quality of life.
By buying Florsani’s flowers you can bring nature and fresh food into the heart of a community for generations to come.
Your decision will help the project “Cultivating Lifes” sponsored by Florsani, to work with the elderly from the CeCuida’s Center, created to allow the elders of the community to prepare, create and then care for an orchard. It will help us to prepare the ground, pay for the seeds, cover the costs of planting it and train up the group with traditional orcharding skills to look after it as it delivers potatoes, vegetables and medicinal plants year after year. But above all, you will be responsible for cultivating the lifes of others and bringing joy to those who need the most.
