Florsani is an Ecuadorian company committed on improving the quality of the life of every member and in doing so, learning about the importance of sustainability in our industry. Why is this important? For a very simple and concrete reason: we cannot maintain our quality of life as human beings, diversity on Earth or in the planet’s ecosystems unless we are aware of the impact of our actions in a macro level. There are indications of all sectors and from the smallest scale to the larger that sustainability is something we need to address.
This philosophy is based on a solid foundation of sustainability and can be defined by three fundamental elements, which must be carefully considered relating to others:

A year ago we proudly started with our joined project with the elderly of our community to create a positive impact on their lives considering two crucial axes: the economic and social aspect. We create an organic orchard where the elderly of the Cecuida Center can work by growing plants, vegetables, medicinal herbs and other types of food. Despite helping them to have a safer and more cheerful environment in the CeCuida Center, we discover that the orchard is a way to contribute directly to their health, happiness and more financial income. Since they are people who grew up doing activities in the field and want to be active members of the community, this is a great project for them.
Today we share photos of the project because we are excited to see how it has affected their ability to take control of their food security, but also has other benefits, including instilling a connection with nature, responsibility, patience, relaxation and problem solving. Whether plowing the land or harvesting food, this project has proven to be a form of integration of these crucial members of our society into a fuller and happier life.
